Summary

Mahogany carcase constructed in numbered sections with cross-pieces forming a support for the slate bed. Cushion rails and skirt are built in sections; each section of the skirt outlined with a simple moulding. Thirty-two holes in the frame below the top rail give access to the bed and are concealed with replacement turned mahogany buttons. The junction of each leg with the skirt is defined by a rectangular block with panels outlined with simple moulding. Below this the leg is turned and then reeded, the reeding tapering into a turned foot. The six replacement leather and string pockets are suspended from the original brass brackets. Table top covered in a modern green baize. One set of three billiard balls made of ivory; one set of three composition billiard balls; one pair of maces reproduced from Gillows maces at Judges Lodgings, Lancaster; assorted spare buttons.
