A Sylvan Stream

George Faulkner Wetherbee 1851 - 1920

Summary

A rural landscape with tall shadowy trees in the foreground to the right. There is a wide stream to left in which two naked boys have been bathing, and are now sitting on the nearside river bank. A third naked boy stands at the water's edge on the opposite bank to the left by a single tall tree. There are hills in the distance to left, and a thin crescent moon in the sky.
