Summary

Boy's collar. White linen, slightly stiffened. Standing band, slightly curved, double thickness, stitched edges. Buttonhole at each lower front corner. Vertical buttonhole centre back with two small section curved flaps stitched on above. Stamped inside 'Governer, easy to button, 2 3/8 x 16' and 'V.R.' marked in ink 'J.D. Maitland 103'. Boy's hat. Fawn-coloured plush over stiff foundation. Straight-sided crown, widening slightly to flat oval top. 2.5cm corded silk band with bow at left side, 3.8cm brim, edge curving up at sides, bound corded silk. Crown lined with silk, lower sides of crown lined with silk. Inside crown stamped in black 'CHRISTY'S LONGON' with royal arms. Boy's leggings, two thicknesses of light brown hide.
