Bridesmaid's dress with hat see also MITTENS 1953.305/3. 1) Dress: cream satin trimmed lace, lined with white cotton, high round neck trimmed with silk cord, with bow centre front. Large indented collar lined with cream silk, covered with lace and edged with chiffon frill. Front in one section, back in two sections, fastening CB with five hooks and eyelet-holes. Long full sleeves in one section, gathered on to shoulder and on to wristband. Large turnback cuffs lined with cream silk, covered wth lace and with chiffon frill. Waist trimmed with thick cord girdle, with loops and knotted ends in front fastening with press fasteners to imitate bow. Skirt in four sections gathered on to bodice. 2) Hat: cream satin, covered with lace, lined with cream silk. Oval, slightly shaped to fit head. Elastic tie. Edges wired.
