Mrs Hilda Harrison

Frank Dobson 1886 - 1963

Summary

Portrait head and neck of a woman in natural bronze colour, without patina. She is depicted with an elegantly elongated neck and her hair loosely coiled into a bun; the surface of the head and neck is smooth and polished, which becomes increasingly textured towards the base of the work. The sculpture is mounted on a small wooden base painted black, which is trapezoid in shape with a curved front edge.
