Summary

Expressionistic still life of group of vegetables on a table, including onions, a cabbage and a bottle. The tablecloth has a floral design of aquamarine blue and dark pink which is painted using playful, expressive line. Tone is indicated with heavy paintwork which falls on the left hand side of each object. There is a directness and economy to the paintwork used which is comprised of simple, gestural lines. The colours of the vegetables is naturalistic.
