Summary

A still life composition, pitched against a patterned wall and striped tablecloth. The group is made up of pomegranates in a glass bowl, a black hat, a smoking pipe, a vase of coloured flowers and two books. The shadows cast by the objects against the bright, patterned background add their own shapes of distorted colour to the wall.
