Summary

A vivid painting of a terraced hillside which is dotted with various species of tree, with the bright spanish sunlight contrasting starkly against shadows. Four twisted and gnarled tree trunks dominate the central foreground. A female figure sits on the rocky outcrop on the right, and her only companions are the few grazing goats and sheep.
