Summary

Public: Double-gourd shaped vase, red earthenware, with Opalescent-veined glaze and green Starry Opalescent crystals. Private: Squat double-gourd shaped vase with prominent foot-ring and flattened globular neck tapering to narrow, slightly flared rim. Turquoise Opalescent-veined glaze runs over vase in feathery streaks, red earthenware body visible beneath glaze streaks, especially round rim and neck. Most of body and part of neck covered in large patch of tiny green Starry Opalescent crystals, crystalline glaze containing cobalt fired to 1000 C.
