Summary
Public: Small circular bowl, red earthenware, with turquoise Opalescent-veined glaze with green Starry Opalescent crystals pooling in the well. Private: Deep bowl with prominent foot-ring. Opalescent-veined glaze on interior and exterior of bowl gives streaky feathery effect, red earthenware body visible beneath turquoise glaze streaks, especially round rim. Inside bowl, round edge of rim and on side beneath rim, patches of tiny green Starry Opalescent crystals, crystalline glaze containing cobalt fired to 1000 C. Dark green glaze on footring and round exterior base of bowl, and pooled in bowl well.
