Summary

Public: Moulded ribbed pear-shaped vase with flared neck, red earthenware, with turquoise Opalescent-veined glaze and green Starry Opalescent crystals. Private: Moulded pear-shaped vase with wide neck and flared rim, and seven vertical depressions around body. Opalescent-veined glaze gives streaky feathery effect, red earthenware body visible in large patches beneath glaze streaks. Body of vase covered in large patches of green Starry Opalescent crystals (crystalline glaze containing cobalt fired to 1000 C) where turquoise glaze has run. Pale turquoise glaze on inside of rim.
