Flower Piece

Robert Tuson

Summary

Surrealistic still life of a floral spray in a footed vase against a landscape setting of flat plains and a river beneath a high clouded sky. Flowers include roses, lilies, narcissi and others, with ivy trails and other leafy stems drooping down to the ground on either side. The unusual setting for this still life renders it somewhat absurd; its photo-realist style also relates to the surrealist movement.
