Wooded Landscape with Windmill

William Henry Crome 1806 - 1873

Summary

A picturesque rural scene of a wooded path, flanked on both sides by large trees. On the left, a path leads towards a windmill in a distant clearing. Two figures can be seen on the path in the foreground, and another two further down. In the middle ground, an almost hidden wooden fence cuts across the canvas horizontally, and behind the trees, there is a cottage.
