Summary

A three-quarter length, right side portrait of Frances Leigh Killer (wife of William Bellot). She is depicted as a young, unsmiling woman, seated in a wooden, embroidered armchair, with her hands resting in her lap. She has light brown hair with a central parting, held back by a black ribbon. She is wearing a black dress trimmed lace at the neck and cuffs, with a flowered brooch at her throat. There is a table to the right with a small bunch of flowers on it, as well as a glimpse of an embroidered stool to left. The painting is in a gilt frame with ornate moulding.
