Summary

A scene depicting Cromwell's protest against the persecution of the Waldensian Ambassadors. It takes place in a wood panelled room with a tall stained glass window in the background to the right, one pane open to reveal a glimpse of crenellated turret beyond. Cromwell sits at a table to the left, surrounded by courtiers and turning to face a standing figure on the far left who carries a scroll in one hand. His companion stands to the far right, leaning against a chair.
