Kitty

Helen Allingham RWS 1848 - 1926

Summary

A young girl in profile. She has dark hair and is wearing a blue dress with a white pinafore and a pink bonnet. Kitty was Allingham's pet name for Felicie Keith, a child model who appears in many of her paintings. Allingham kept her own stock of rustic costumes. Sunbonnets were out of fashion when Allingham painted this work.
