Summary

Public: Globular teapot with S-shaped cabbage moulded spout and double-intertwined strap loop handle with a flattened circular cover. Cream coloured earthenware painted in red and black overglaze enamels with a ground pattern of overlapping circles, reserving cartouches on either side which are painted with floral sprays. Private: Globular teapot on flat base, with S-shaped cabbage moulded spout and double-intertwined strap loop handle with leaf-moulded terminals picked out in green. Cream coloured earthenware painted in red and black overglaze enamels with ground pattern composed of overlapping red and black circles extending down handles, reserving scalloped cartouches on either side painted with floral sprays in red, purple, yellow and black. Flattened circular cover with flower finial and three-leaf applied relief terminal picked out in pink, yellow and green, against red and black ground. Small pierced hole to one side.
