Summary
Brangwyn was one of a number of artists commissioned to design a series of 6 auto-lithographs depicting the Efforts of War. This rather poignant, pared down image shows a young lad yearning to be aboard the shadowy naval cruiser. A young boy standing at a dock side, looking out to sea towards a battleship on the open water to the upper left. The boy is facing to the left and is seen in profile. He is wearing a flat cap and has his hands in his pockets.
