Summary

The interior of a panelled room, crowded with men in eighteenth century dress. The men are mainly seated and standing around a circular table at the centre of the room. The young man at the centre foreground is kneeling with his right arm raised in the air and his wig fallen at his side. A fallen chair with a dog standing on it can be seen to the left of the kneeling young man. There are coins and a dice shaker on the table, two men seated at a small table to the left and a man sat before the fireplace on the right.
