The Stock Dove
Henry Constantine Richter 1821 - 1902
Summary
A large, grey Stock Dove with darkly-tipped feathers, brightly-coloured feet and a shimmer of blue and turquoise covering the back of his neck, perches firmly on a thick branch to the left of another Stock Dove. The second Stock Dove has his head and beak just visible below his companion. Leaves and acorns scatter the foreground and there are plants filling the background.
