Summary

A fenland landscape with a moored boat with a mast in the upper left centre and a house towards the left edge. A wide river stretches from the foreground into the middle ground, curving around to the right. A small rowing boat with a figure in it can be seen towards the right edge of the composition. There are windmills in the distance to the centre and right. The moon is at the centre right, in a cloudy sky.
