Summary
Interior of a building. Men working at and around tables. Man to left, seen from behind, bent over a box. To his right is a man stood at a small table. A group of men are working at a large table to the right. Cloths are hanging above them, hung on roof supports. There are large tubs on the floor. On the back wall to the left is a graffitied drawing of a man with a pipe. A gas mask is hung on a wall to the right. Bawden was made an Official War Artist to the War Office in 1939.
