Summary

In the left foreground is the figure of a man, carrying fishing equipment, accompanied by a dog on his left, walking at low tide in the shallows of the estuary; a boat sits on the water in the distance. To the right is a beach with white sea birds in the foreground and several figures in the distance; a rocky mound of land rises from the shore surmounted by the ruins of a castle. In the background is the sun setting over the sea.
