Roger Fry 1866 - 1934

Summary

Hand block-printed. Green, yellow and black design of squares. Made in the Omega workshops in France under the direction of Roger Fry 1912-1915. Designed by either Fry or Frederick Etchells, since both professed a liking for squares as the basis for a good pattern. Pattern name - Mechtilde. Named after the German Ambassadress, Princes Mechtilde Lichnowsky.
