Summary
Hat in fine black glazed straw with broad black Petersham ribbon. Deep round crown and very wide brim, narrowing at the back. turns up slightly at the front. the edge is bound with Petersham. The hat band is smooth in front and folding at the back, being tied into a large bow. Interior has a black Petersham band with a tuck stitched in it. Labelled 'Ida Vernon, Wilmslow'. Boxed court shoes, labelled 'Rayne' in black patent leather.
