Summary
Deep circular bowl tapering to footring, with recessed neck and short everted rim. Decorated with an incised fluted tongue pattern in cream and brown round lower body, surmounted by a band of buff slip with incised lines in brown extending upwards from tongue border towards border of crenellated half-circles at shoulder. Plain cream neck decorated with band of small impressed hearts. Chocolate brown neck rim. Bowl interior a plain cream body colour but for mauve/brown glaze round neck.
