Summary
Coat of dark violet silk satin, three-quarter length with fronts curving at the hem; caught-up elbow length sleeves; turn down collar fastening with 4 hooks and eyes, otherwise no front fastening; trimmed either side centre front with 3 large self fabric covered dome buttons mounted on square applique patches; coat trimmed with long narrow bands of purple wool along fronts, sleeves and front and back bodice (moth damage to wool). Small woven label, cb neck 'Callot Soeurs, 24 Rue Taitbout'. Probably worn by Mrs Mary Greg.
