Summary

Landscape scene offering a view across an autumnal plain towards the Dolomite mountains. Lower mountains are cast in shadow in the middle distance, and snowcapped peaks in the distance are caught in brilliant sunshine. There is a dense group of trees in the foreground to the left; several are bare white trunks to the right, and a blanket of red and brown leaves covering the foreground terrain.
