Summary
Scarlet woollen cloth, lined with scarlet rayon. High V neck with pointed turndown collar of double thickness material. Double breasted fastening in front. Fronts stiffened with 'Vilene' interlining. Slit pocket in each side front at hip level. Epaulette of double thickness with red button attached. Long stright sleeves. Called 'Zhivago' style, from film 'Dr Zhivago' of 1966, based on Russian novel by Boris Pasternak. To be worn over very short skirt with long boots and fur hat.
