Summary

View of a mill pond and a large tree at the water's edge with a small stone cottage just visible on left hand side, obscured by the tree. Light green lily pads and stumps of branch are visible emerging from the water, and a cow is visible in the distance looking out over the right-hand side of the pool. A small meadow can be seen by the cottage on the left; a wilderness of plants are growing on the left bank of the pool. Small, white birds swim in the water by the left bank. The sky has many white clouds making the view of the pool somewhat overcast. Naturalistic colours are used.
