Summary
Black felt with gilt thread stitching, edged with gold lace. High rounded crown with close parallel lines of gilt thread machine stitching outlining 6-petalled flower shapes, with 6-pointed star-shaped cetnres. Brim narrower towards back, edge trimmed with gilt lace. Spindle-shaped piece of felt inserted in double slot in brim to right of centre front. Crown lined with black silk.
