Summary

In the centre of the image is a timber built building which is two storeys high. On each side of the first floor bay window is written "A.D. 1306". On the ground floor the door is in the centre of the building, a sign above it reads "YE OLDE/ ROVERS RETURN/ THE OLDEST/ BEER HOUSE/ IN THE CITY". In front of the buildings are tables with chickens in cages on them, and groups of people.
