The Empress is wearing her coroantion gown that was designed by Charles Fredwick Worth, an off-the-shoulder evening dress with puffed sleeves decorated with bows on the shoulders and a fitted velvet bodice decorated with pearl tie fastenings and lace trims. Around her neck she is wearing an elaborate necklace.
