Richmond Park
Summary
This poster is a proof before letters for Knight's poster Richmond Park commissioned by London Transport in 1938 to advertise travel to Richmond Park to Londoners. At Richmond Park there are ancient oak trees that are over 800 years old. Knight depicts three generations of the tree - an ancient oak on the left, a mature tree in the foreground and a small sapling in the centre. The white ground has been left for the addition of the poster's text.
