Wine coloured velvet cocktail dress with plain round neck, bodice gathered into waist, and peplum panels to hips; very full half sleeves; centre back opening; shoulder pads; unlined; woven blue and silver label: 'Thierry Mugler, Paris, Fete, 9'. Thierry Mugler launched his label in 1974 but did not show haute couture in Paris until 1992.
