Summary

Short sleeved A-line cocktail dress made from heavy finish wool in very pale lilac/grey. Plain round neck. Pieced construction with overstitched seams to shoulders, centre front, sides, patch pockets, and dipping curving waist. Separate narrow buttoning belt with loops. Centre back seam and long zip. Fully lined with ivory acetate, including skirt and hem facing. Label CB "Courreges, Paris. Made in France A" "Model No 108418" "Made in France for Harrods". Belonged to Olwen McNelilance (nee Jones) 25.7.26-10.1.18 She would have been around 40 when purchasing the dress and lived in Manchester during the 1960s. Her husband was a newspaper publicist and they went often to social events in London.
