Young Poachers

James Hey Davies 1844 - 1930

Summary

In this autumnal scene, two boys are on a poaching expedition at the edge of a forrest. They can be seen in the bottom right hand corner, one rummaging through the undergrowth, the other, at the foot of a grassy path leading uphill. The trees are bare against a cloudy blue sky and away to the left in the background there is open ground.
