Summary

This is a coastal scene with large cliffs on the left and some ships in some strong waves. There is a shipwrecked boat on the left with figures clinging to the sides. In the centre of the middle ground there are figures on the rocks and there are more figures in the back to the left of the foreground. In the background on top of the cliffs there is a lighthouse and on the right there is a flock of birds.
