Summary

Single width length of dress silk brocade. Ivory silk woven with large scale, stylised trailing leaves and flowers in blue, pink, yellow and gold. Hand woven in Spitalfields, London; the reverse showing the loose warp threads. Stitch marks show that the length was formerly made up into a dress.
