Amateur Theatricals at Knebworth

John Leech 1817 - 1864

Summary

Quite a busy scene. In the centre is a very large rotund gentleman who is stood facing the left. He looks as though he is wearing a fancy dress costume. He is looking down at a gentleman who is lay across a sofa, his left arm propping him up. Next to the man relaxing, on his left, is a lady who is seated, back straight. Next to the large, rotund man on the right, is a gentleman, facing right. He is holding a tray, with what looks like a joint of beef on it.
