Mysteries of Human Growth (Three Chapters in Public School Life)

George Louis Palmella Busson du Maurier 1834 - 1896

Summary

A series of three panels with two figures in each. In the left panel there are two small schoolboys in uniforms and caps. In the centre frame the same two boys appear, but the boy on the right is now much taller than the other and is clipping his ear. The third frame shows the two boys grown up. The man on the right is tall and broad whilst the man to the left is small, thin and stooped. The taller man has his hand on the shoulder of the shorter one, who looks up at him over his shoulder.
