Summary

grey wool flannel sack dress; sleeveless and collarless; tiny decorative "pockets" with self fabric buttons on bust; cb seam and long zip; under arm darts; attached acetate underskirt with flannel box pleats at hem, showing below outer hem; label cb neck "Bazaar". Bought in 1958 from Bazaar in the Kings Road where Mary Quant first worked. Dress called 'Pinafore pleats' - see London Museum: Mary Quant's London (1973) no.14
