The Heart of Cambria

Henry Clarence Whaite 1828 - 1912

Summary

A rich, autumnal Cambrian landscape looking down a river, running through a narrow mountain gorge. Steep cliffs are rising high and misty on either side. In the middleground, lush woodland is visible on the lower reaches of the left hand mountainside. In the foreground, a few trees cling onto the steep rockface to the right. There is an arched bridge over the river in the middle distance, partially obscured by trees. A bird flies low over the water in the bottom right corner.
