Gipsy Camp, Sunrise

Henry Clarence Whaite 1828 - 1912

Summary

A rural landscape with tall trees to the right, through which shafts of dawn sunlight fall across a gipsy camp to the left. Two female figures are in the foreground to the left, one standing with a bundle of wood, the other kneeling to gather water in a bucket from a stream running across the foreground. The hazy dawn light obscures the rest of scene.
