Summary

Monochrome street scene. A busy road intersection with a multitude of people, horses and carriages. A large classical building dominates the view. This building has a porch with six ionic columns. A harnessed horse stands in the foreground to the left. A woman with an umbrella, accompanied by a child, crosses the road at the centre foreground and a man in a postman's uniform stands to the right. Tramlines cross the intersection and a tram can be seen to the left. A policeman stands at the centre of the intersection.
