Chinese collection tunic in quilted cotton, with dark purple body, pink facings to armholes; grey border to hem; and red circular neckline. Labelled: 'Saint Laurent, rive gauche, Paris' and modele/style 015 030377, colour 23, dry clean only'. Belonged to the private collector, BillyBoy*, the avante-garde artist, designer and art collector who has been collecting top-end couture for 40 years and who lives in Switzerland. He bought it in 1977 directly from the samples room of Rive Gauche, and there are long trousers and a coolie hat to go with the tunic.
