Summary

Grey and black pleated polyester tunic from the 'Rythym Pleats' collection, 1991. Wedge shaped body with curving sleeves which turn over the shoulders and twist in movement when worn. Labelled 'Issey Miyake'. Miyake was one of the first Japanese designers to have success in Paris, setting up his house in 1973. His style usually combines traditional Japanese textile techniques like pleating, layering and wrapping, with Western couture.
