Summary

Public: Cream coloured pot and lid, hard paste porcelain, figure and river scenes in iron red, purple, yellow, olive green, blue, grey, brown and black enamel colours with gilt mouldings. Private: Hard paste porcelain, globular shape with everted, upturned rim, three paw feet, elaborately scrolled handle and slightly domed cover with pine cone knop. Painted in iron red, purple, yellow, olive green, blue, grey, brown and black enamel colours, with a continuous scene of figures by a river estuary, and two smaller harbour scenes on the cover. Details and mouldings picked out in gilt.
