Summary

Public: Slop-bowl, soft paste porcelain, moulded with floral sprays and painted in purple, blue, yellow, green, mauve and iron red overglaze enamels and gilt. Private: Deep circular bowl, with curved base and narrow tapering footring. Sides relief-moulded with two flowering leafy sprigs, beneath painted floral border below rim. Rim edged with bright blue enamel band and gilt dentil border on each side, blue band around footring painted at intervals with gilt double dash. Floral leafy sprig in purple and green to centre of bowl well.
