Tea, coffee and chat
Monday 17 August 2020, 11am–12pm
Free, please book on Eventbrite
We all have stories to tell about our relationship to tea and coffee. Join a team of staff and gallery volunteers for a relaxed conversation about all things related to hot drinks.
Do you have a particular habit or ritual associated with tea and coffee?
In this conversation, we will be talking about what it means for farmers to be paid a fair price and how this impacts on the tea, coffee, sugar and hot chocolate we consume.
We will be showing objects related to tea, coffee and trade from the gallery’s online collection and we would love you to bring an item which relates in some way to trade and fair pay. It could be a product, an article, a book, a vessel or something else.
This session usually runs in the gallery and is connected with the current exhibition Trading Station.
